Brokenwood Wines has for fifty years operated a multi award winning winery and cellar door. The Cru Bar + Pantry was opened two years ago and is a busy and successful casual dining space, offering breakfast and lunch, seven days a week. Brokenwood has a great team culture and promotes a healthy work-life balance for all of their staff.
About the role
Working closely with the Cru Bar + Pantry Head Chef and Brokenwood Wines Venue Manager you will be required to work Friday through to Tuesday from 8am until 5pm. You will be rewarded with a generous salary package of $70k including superannuation.
Your responsibilities will be as follows;
Undertake and supervise daily food preparation in anticipation and response of service requirements.
Carrying out quality checks on food supplies to ensure quality and freshness.
Prepare menu items as ordered, ensuring the highest quality standards.
Communicate effectively with front of house staff.
Cleaning of kitchen equipment, food preparation areas and storage areas, complying with the highest standards of cleanliness.
Skills and experience
To join our team, you will need to possess;
Advanced food knowledge.
Trade Certification in Commercial Cookery.
Food Safety Certification.
At least two years' experience working in a cafe or restaurant.
A great work ethic and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
A positive and professional demeanour.
A love of wine and food with a genuine interest in increasing your knowledge.
Availability for immediate start would be advantageous as would an RSA certification.
